The one that instantly strikes me is the top page. The black with yellow and purple grabbed me. However, while analyzing both I think the bottom one is a better choice. Items are aligned, still have contrast, categorized. Also viewers with a smaller monitor would be able to view total home page which makes it easier to get around. No searching for additional information as you navigate through the frames.
